The jury of the 28th edition of the Rina Sala Gallo Monza International Piano Competition, chaired by Robert Levin, has awarded First Prize to pianist Pei-Heng Jiang. Second Prize goes to Yangrui Cai, while the “Rotary Club Monza Est and Rotary Club Monza Ovest” Third Prize goes to Karina Tseng.
Pei-Heng Jiang receives the scholarship attached to the Audience Special Prize, together with the “Massimo Galli” prize, awarded to the candidate, chosen from among the six semifinalists, who reached the highest artistic peak in one of the rounds. The Chopin Prize in memory of Febea D’Andria D’Eredità has been awarded to Takuma Onodera. The “Council of the Rina Sala Gallo Musical Association” prize goes to Pei-Heng Jiang, the youngest of the semifinalists. The “Laura Zancarli” prize, awarded to the candidate who reached the highest poetic peak over the course of the entire competition, goes to Raul Canosa.
Yangrui Cai is the recipient of the Students’ Jury Prize, in collaboration with the Liceo Classico, Musicale e Coreutico B. Zucchi. The prize awarded by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano has been given to Karina Tseng.
